Anushe started her career in community organising and advocacy, working with Amnesty International Australia, the Islamic Council of Victoria and the Refugee Migrant Children’s Centre to deliver policies and programs for diverse communities. Anushe brings years of experience working with organisations to design and deliver services and procedures that are equitable and evidence-based. Anushe holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Melbourne.

In 2020, Anushe joined the SDGs Secretariat, via UNICEF Pakistan, in the National Assembly of Pakistan to conduct evaluations on the progress of Pakistan in achieving key goal markers against the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Currently, Anushe is a policy officer at the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia (FECCA) and works on FECCA’s Ageing and Aged Care portfolio.

Passionate about arts and culture, Anushe is also on the organising committee for SalamFest, Melbourne’s biggest Muslim arts and culture festival.
